If you don't change the crank pulley the supercharger speed wont slow down. You can always change the accessory pullies and not change the crank, Im sure there are alot options available. Then again, you could change the crank pulley and get a smaller pulley for the supercharger, but its not gonna put out the advertised boost because it will be spinning slower (like a 10# pulley if your wanting 8#) - but don't forget you will have more belt slippage problems the smaller you go on the SC pulley.

Default Hrm ..

Yeah, I believe ^^he's^^ correct. Superchargers are belt-driven [Crank Pulley] machines.. correct me if I'm wrong. If you go with underdrive pullies, I believe the blower will slow down. You'll lose boost. You don't really need to do anything to the engine to make the Supercharger work. It should be a direct bolt-on, if for the right application. By going with a smaller pulley, it's like changing the wastegate spring on a Turbocharger. You're creating more boost, thus more power. But yeah, by going down in pulley size, after getting underdrive pullies.. that would probably make up for your lost boost. But it's running harder.. to achieve that boost, correct? I'm not sure, lol. And also, belt slippage by going down a pulley. So all in all, it's really just creating havock. Just my .02 cents.

The faster the supercharger is spinning the harder its gonna run, but changing to a smaller pulley to compensate for a slower crank speed wont make it run any harder than if you kept the original sc pulley and the original crank pulley - if your putting 8# of boost out either way then your spinning the same speed either way. The only drawback to this is, of course, the smaller they pulley on the sc the more likely you will have belt slippage problems.

All in all save the 200 bucks and forget the pulleys if I go with a supercharger.
Thanks for the input.

So realy all I need to do is the supercharger and exhaust and of course reprogram it to get rid of the limits huh?
