ok so i had this s/c installed and i feel like the guy that tuned the engine didnt really do that great of a job. first when i start the engine he has the idling at about 1500 rpms. is that to high? also i have noticed that if im driving and i let off the gas while the car is still in gear ( i have a 5 speed 04 gt by the way) it sounds almost like a low popping noise. is that normal? i was reading in other posts that that may mean its running to rich? please let me know on some feedback and what i should do before my engine dies. thanks

 

my car had the higher idle like yours after i got my boost cooler installed. the guys looked at it cause they thought it was weird too. turned out i had a bad bypass valve. they put a new one on and it still idled kinda high, but it went down after about a week or so. now it purs at about 800rpm again.

how high are you bringing your car up when you let off? could just be your exhaust popping. what kind of exhaust setup do you have? my car would pop when i had my LM1s. doesn't really do it with the LM2s now.

well i meant that when i start the car from a cold start like in the morning after sitting the whole night, the rpms are at like 1500 for like 10 seconds. he put a diablo predator chip in and my exhaust i have a o/r basanni x pipe with magnapack catback. i am currently looking to get another x pipe with cats to get some of that torque back. do you think its popping because of not enough backpressure?

 

nanaki, i read in another post of yours that you mention a boost cooler, what is that and what does it do, besides obviously cool the boost. haha

yea i think im going to have to bite the bullet and find someone else becasue this guy seems to know what he's talking about but my car is idling like garbage. also since i got it back from them my odometer has been acting weird. like when i turn the car on from after sitting for a few hours the miles dont show up. its just lines going across, so i have to turn the car off and turn it back on and it works. they say its supposedly the body control module. but i have no idea
