What's up guys. I need some opinions on the best type of headers to get with a 4.6 GT motor with 40 series flowmasters, and bassani offroad X pipe. Mainly for the purpose of sounding good really doesn't care if the headers have a huge affect on performance, just long as it helps with the tone of the exhaust. thanks.

 

Longtubes will give you the best performance and sound. Don't matter what you get. The problem is if you got longtubes then your gonna have to get a new x-pipe as well. And shorties... well just DONT DO IT ON A 4.6!! Waste of time and money.

 

If you got the short Bassani X pipe for LT headers you wont need to buy a new one. But if you have the one for stock exhaust manifolds you will. I will put a link of what my car sounds like below and we will see if it works. I have the same set up you're going for.

Daniel, I'd like to hear your mustang but it seems that none of your links work. Maybe tell me and I might be able to find it. But anyways thanks guys, I haven't purchased any new exhaust mods yet, I have stock but I'm bout to get all new headers, pipes, except from the flows. I might go with LT Shorts if I can see how they sound.
