Default x pipe help

hi everyone, i wes putting on an exhaust system this weekend in my 1994 mustang gt. i was trying to put in MAC's equal length headers, MAC's off road x pipe and FLOWMASTER american series cat back system. i got the headers and flowmasters in just fine but the x pipe seems bent. it hooked up to the headers just fine but the tail part of the x pipe seems bent because i cannot put on the cat back system without it hitting the drive shaft.

i took compared it to the stock h pipe and it looks bent, the tail section of the x pipe goes off in a different direction then the stock pipe. the x pipie is supposed to be brand new, i bought it off a ebay mustang dealer.

any information would be helpful, has this happened to anyone else, does anyone have any segestions? (can't spell) any info would be helpful. thank-you sean

It may be bent then, it should be roughly the same size as far as where the ends are at your stock one. If you tighten up the headers, then loose fit the X-pipe, mufflers, and tail pipes on and it doesn't work then it's probably bent.

i heard back from the guy that sold me the pipe. he told me that he called MAC and that they told him they screwed up on the pakaging of the pipe, they packaged it with a 96-98 leg. then he offored me another x-pipe which is the only one he has left and MAC is on back order for them, or a prochamber pipe. does anyone know anything about a MAC prochamber pipe. is it better or worse then a x-pipe, the only thing i know is that he said it costs a little more, but the guy said he would cover the difference. any info helpful thanks sean

Go with the pro chamber, outperforms both x & h pipes. I usually don't mention the pro chambers as it's a bit more expensive and most people won't dish out the extra bucks..
