for wear reasons or to gain proper belt tension? i probably have less than 500 mi on the existing belt. Plus, how doy u release teh tension on the belt? and i assume i have to take the headunit off cause of clearance issues with teh motor vs pulley.

i would say for belt tension. and wear. if the belt is loose you may have all sorts of problems. alnernator might not charge, belt might slip causing belt breakage, and less boost due to belt slippage
