no, he meant innercooler. i ebay'd and googled it. it's what companies call their aftercooler.
stranger than fiction but we have after-coolers, inter-coolers, and inner-coolers and all of them are the same thing when we talk about cars but they all have different meanings in the industrial world.
intercooler is air-to-air, aftercooler is air-to-water
Thats what the manufacturers would lead you to believe. aftercooler is a term used for cooling after all compressing before combustion chamber, intercooler is a term for cooling between compressing stages, (example, if you had a turbo feeding a SC the cooler between the turbo and SC would be an inter-cooler, the cooler after the SC would be an after-cooler) many industrial applications have combinations of Turbos and SCs on the same engine.
