I'd wait until it fully cures, so you know it won't break up from the heat. Put it on in the evening and let it dry overnight.

That RTV is gonna last all of 30 seconds no matter how long you let it cure. Why aren't you using a gasket?

The H pipe comes with one gasket for the right side and the left side like flares out. The directions say to use the RTV on the left side.

Here are the directions:

Installation tips:

1. For best results, apply a small amount of anti-seize on each of the fastener locations.

2. loosely fit your H-Pipe together

3. Re-Install oxygen sencors in H-pipe

4. Apply a small bead of Permatex black high temp sencor safe RTV on the drivers side exhaust manifold "bell mouth" (on the H-pipe side of the joint)

5. Slide H-pipe into position at the exhaust manifolds.

6. Start the nuts on the exhaust manifold studs (do not tighten yet)

7. Slide the cat back tail pipes onto the balled ends of the H-pipe

8. Loosely start four nut and bolt joints at this joint

9. Using your hands or sure grip clamp, press the "H" slip joint together enough to allow the joint interfaces at the "H" slip joint together enough to allow the joint interfaces at the exhaust manifolds to line up. support the H-pipe vertically at the "H" in approximate vehicle location

10. Tighten right hand exhaust flange nuts

11. Tighten left hand exhaust flange nuts

12. Plug in oxygen sensors.
