Default Service Engine Soon

Hey all.. I need some help..

Two days ago I installled an X pipe on my 99 CObra.. Everything seemed to be fine and today, after a full day of running around my 'Service Engine Soon' light came on.. I went to Advance Auto and had them hook it up to their computer.. It prited out the below:

Vehicle Scanned
1999 Mustang
V=4.6 DOCH

DTC P0420
Catalyst Efficiency
Below Threshold
(Blank 1)

DTC
P0430
Catalyst Efficiency
Below Threshold
(Blank 2)

DTC P1000
OBD Systems
Readiness Test
Not Complete

Question: 1) Do you think the X pipe is the cause? 2) Has anyone else had this problem? 3) Do you think the computer is changing the air/fuel mixture because of this and I am loosing HP? 4) What do you think I should do to fix it?

Its late right now so tomorrow morning I will get up and make sure all four O2 sensors are still screwed in and tight.. Besides that I don't know what to do.. My brother said I might have to get a new computer chip or something..

Please help..

You need a set of MIL eliminators... The rear O2's are getting the same readings as the front ones so the car thinks something is wrong... Your car is probably in "limp" mode, so you are losing alot of performance....

They make the rear O2 sensors think that the car still has cats on it... I had them on my 00GT, I think they were $60...

MIL malfunction indicator lamp eliminator....

Yea you need one set (2) they plug into the wiring harness and directly into the rear O2 sensors... It's simple as long as you can get under the car...lol... Good luck and nice car...

I found this on another forum..

You can try those MIL eliminators, but the light will come back on eventually.

Best way is to have the rear sensors turned off using a flash tuner like SCT...
Will the light come back on? What is a flash tuner and is this a better way of fixing the problem? I read up on the Jegs link posted above and it sounds like this is a common problem with all X and H catless pipes.. I'm thinking the MIL eliminators will work just fine but maybe this guy knows something I don't about the light coming back on..

I had them on my car for 2 years and the CEL never came on... If you get a tuner you can shut off the rear 2 O2's, but that costs some money... They worked for me? Maybe we can get a few more opinions???
