Could be a exhaust problem also, like bad cats.

Well I dont have any cats though. I have the UPR O/R X pipe.

To the guy putting out 10 psi in the cold and 8 when it's warm. WTF???

I've been thinking about this all day. Even if it's REALLY f'n cold out ...wtf???

I can see if it's REALLY cold out and you idle for 10 min. & gun it....but I'm still having trouble with this... Doesn't make sense...

Air is more dense when colder, more gets packed in.

+1 with Fox.

The impeller rpms are the same in the cold or warm weather. The cold air is more dense to begin with. That could be where the extra pressure is coming from. It might be normal for your setup.

Well I have seen 15 psi on my gauge at 6,200. I have a novi 2000 with factory pulley but also a powerpipe.

so i don't have a supercharger, but wouldn't low oil pressure make it have more vaccum?

isn't the boost guage pretty much vaccum operated? if he has low oil pressure it can cause vaccum to go through the roof on your car, therefor showing more boost than he really has.

I don't want to sound mean but... Boost means positive pressure, vacuum means a lack of pressure or negative pressure. You can't have a vacuum opperated boost gauge. They are contradictary terms.

And... Who told you low oil pressure causes high vacuum? It has nothing to do with vacuum.
What makes vacuum is the cylinders valves and piston and rings. Those parts are lubed by oil splash not pressure fed oil. Pressure fed parts are: Crank bearings, rod bearings, cam bearings, lifters, rocker arms(lightly oiled)
