who makes the best one and whats the deal with this aluminum crossover for the intake? what is it and what does it do?

Accufab makes the best one, but its also the most expensive. The aluminum crossover just replaces the plastic crossover that came stock and is only for reliability purposes - not performance - as the stock plastic cracks from the heat.

i think the trick flow is good for the money that is what i had with a bbk 70mm throttle body and i loved it

I ordered the Trick Flow with matching 70mm throttle body from BBK for a little more than the price of the Accufab Intake, simply because the performance gains between the plenums are relatively the same. Accufab is the best though, even though its expensive.

Accufab is the best choice. On TB I think they are all the same right? Except for the mm.
