Default boost pops off vacuum lines

I was racing around town today and noticed that I couldn't get over 4 lbs of boost. I was like WTF, sometimes it wouldn't go over 3lbs. I parked my car and lifted up my hood and noticed that I had a vacuum cap pop off a smaller vacuum hose. Could I really lose 3 lbs of boost through such a small line? My car is pretty loud and I did a burn out on the way out of my driveway and my neighbors are kinda pissed off so I don't want to go start up and see. I just want to know if this is possible.

have you checked to see if maybe more lines have popped out?

also, when was the last time you tightened the sc belt? they stretch because they are under so much stress so you have to tighten them every once and a while

I haven't checked all the lines yet. I haven't ran it in a about 2 weeks. The last time I ran it, the S/C was pushing 6lbs of boost. One of my neighbors was yelling at me as I took off, so I kinda want to keep it quiet until this evening or tomorrow.

use a zip tie to hold the line on tight and then check for any other place air could be leaking. retighten the belt (95ft/lbs is what i tighten mine to). and then go out and see what kind of boost your making

Keep in mind that the boost gauge is hooked up to that vacuum tree. Any leak in it is going to throw the boost reading off..
I'd say go with luckythirteen's zip tie route for a quick fix.

Did you ever find out why it wasn't building any boost. You made a thread about it a while back & never said what you found out. Was it the belt?

FoxGT-It was the belt. I had black residue on the S/C pulley. I cleaned it and put a new belt on there and it was good to go. But I haven't tightened the belt since then, so I think it is still tight. I have checked all the lines and they seem fine. It's pissing rain so I can't go drive it right now.
