Default Shorties

Are they worth the $300 or so i'd spend? I want to finish off my exhaust this winter, but if shorties arn't worth it i will settle for a x-pipe plus catback.

I'M NOT BUYING LONG TUBES!

Shorties cost THAT MUCH!?
And why no LT's? Emmissions probalo?
Don't want to attempt the install?
Theyre well worth the investment.

Very easy...
And I know you said NO LONG TUBES
But that's the way to go

Just curious as to know what your reasons were for this.

Because i knew if i didn't say it everyone would be like "Don't waste your time, get long tubes"

I want to stay emisions legal for now, and i want the easier install. I dont want to pay some guy $400 to install the longtubes for me. I don't want to hear the long tubes rattling at the stop light either. I figure i can save a FEW hundred dollers and headaches by going with shorties, and only loosing a few HP compared to LT. Thats why i say no longtubes

So are shorties worth it?

Shorties ARE worth it, ignore the abundance of ignorance that is about to try raining on your parade in this thread.

For the mere pocket change shorties cost & all the money you save on labor, especially for those of us who are emissionally (ahahah) challenged and aren't quite cool enough to sneak by emissions or don't feel like dropping 1200-1500 on an exhaust system, shorties are the perfect answer. I'm sorry, but I just can't justify spending over 1g on exhaust work alone, if I'm going to spend over 1 grand in work on my car it's going to be on heads/cams or a blower.

You WILL see hp gains all across your power band & a respectable torque increase. Of course long tubes are the absolute best way to go, but it's just not feasible for everyone to do.

::waits for the flaming::
