Is it better to get after-market heads or take your stock and get port and polish?

 

I'm not the expert, but I'm about 99% sure you want aftermarket headers, preferably long tubes or mid-length headers. I have Bassani mid-lengths and got about 20-25 rwhp (different dyno pulls). From what I hear, the stock manifolds are shat.

 

ok kid.....if you don't know what you are talking about...then don't say anything.....i know the title says headers.....but if you really think you can port and polish headers.....you really don't need to be here.....and nice try on 20-25 rwhp from headers.....

 

and now to answer your question....what year mustang is it? if it is a 5.0.....go aftermarket aluminum heads....the stock e7's suck....

 

Sorry danlopez, I saw headers and just went with that.

And black snake, how much rwhp would you expect with mid-length bassani headers andx-pipe with hi flo cats on an 04 gt? I also have flowmaster cat-back but I don't even count that, and this was all before my other mods. I know what my dyno pulls say, but I'm curious to know what you would expect.

 

With the mods listed in his sig,he could have gotten around 20rwhp if he changedfrom the stockers.
