Supercharger pics
Its took two nights & all of Sat but a buddy & I got it installed. The computer tuner they sent dosnt have a large enough setting for the 44lb fuel injectors so it is dumping to much fuel. Had to have car towed to dyno tuners. He will tune it Wed I hope. So actually it went rather well if that ends up being only glitch.
When I got to the dyno tuners they just finished w/ a SC install on a Z28. This guy has @ least 20K just in the motor. The Z28 dynoed out to 674RWHP!!!! Thats freakin insane power for a street car. Im hopin for about 350-375 w/ my mods. Thats enough to toast some tires.
For those who dont know, a supercharger/turbo is a fan like unit that forces more air into the engine so that you can also put in more fuel w/ an end result being more power. its like making the engine bigger. For every pound of boost (pressure) you get a 7% gain in power. Im gonna be running 8 lbs of boost to start. The main difference between a turbo/SC is the way the impeller is spun. A SC uses a belt to spin it, a turbo uses the hi speed exhaust gases. When the SC compresses the air it also heats it, thats bad so we use an inter-cooler to cool the air before it goes in. The cooler the air the more dense, the more dense the air the more oxygen.

Lerts do it

Right front fender w/ wheel well guard removed. This is where the MAF goes. The MAF tell the computer how much air is coming in so it can give the right amount of fuel.

MAF installed

Getting there

ITS IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a tight fit

intecooler

On the way to dyno shop

My buddys 302 w/ turbo

Hopefully i can add pics of me roasting the old tires when it back from tuner before I put new tires on.

Thats my friend's that helped me install SC. He is the guy in the pics, im holdin the camera. He is dropping that turboed 302 in it.
UPDATE
The car is still @ the tuners. He couldnt start it after we dropped it off. Even after setting the tune for the 44lb injectors just so he could get it on the dyno to really tune it. I drove down tonight (about an hour drive from me) & found the fuel cut off switch was tripped from the flat bed ride. Got it started but its running crappy still. Hopefully he can DYNO tune it Sat.
