maintaining nitrous systems
ive had my nitrous system for about 6 months now and ive had no problems with it. i was just wondering if there is anything that is going to wear out on it or something on it that might need to be cleaned ect????

RE: maintaining nitrous systems
if it's an NX kit, you can remove the solenoids and have them inspect/ rebuild for free. After 6 mos though I'm sure everything is fine, unless you bought the kit used.

Keep an eye on your solenoids because as they age they could stick on you one day. It's happened to me before. A stuck solenoid can blow your engine very quick. I was running mine one day just playing around and sprayed it. When I let off the gas the engine was still reving 4000 rpms. If this happens to you imediatly turn off the engine and coast to a stop. Pop your hood and unplug your coils. Spin the engine over several times before pluging them back in to get the nitrous out of the engine. Make sure you've turned your bottle off or unstuck the solenoid before you do this. Then start the car. Mine still had a stupid loud backfire but all the nitrous was in the exhaust so it didn't hurt my engine.
