Damn FLOWMASTER!! Please help.
***No one mentioned this but it takes a couple months of good running to get the full of sound out of your mufflers. Give them time to break in and you will like them... but how you can like flows is beyond my knowledge. LOL J/K***
I have the Bassani X pipe with the interchangeable cats/pipes. When I put the pipes in for the track, no check engine light illuminated...I guess I have a clean engine...lol
I sure loved the sound coming from the no-cats setup with my flowmasters. Had to put the cats back in because it is time for a state inspection...
What is the consensus on the best sounding after-cats? I'm kinda tired of how my flows are sounding and want to change soon.

for the X pipe i would suggest magnaflows or there magnapacks. they sound really good with an X or you can go with slp loudmouth. i would leave the H pipes to the flow master. im sure jdaniel would agree with me on that point.

Well its very simple actually. What does metal do after an extended time of heating? It expands. Over the period of a couple to three months the mufflers will sound better and better.

If you want to hear what the difference is between just having the American Thunder catback and then adding the MAC O/R H-pipe check out this video of my car. The first part is with just the American Thunder the second part is with the addition of the MAC O/R H-pipe. I dont even remeber what my car sounded like with just the flowmasters anymore it sounds so much better with the O/R H-pipe.

Be careful with what MIL's you buy also, I bought some MIL's and they either broke within 2 weeks or something else because my check engine light was going off and on.
Also yes different mufflers come with the American Thunder catback they are delta 40's. The super 40's will be a little bit louder than the delta 40's but not much.

So to be considered "emissions legal" both the midpipe and the exhaust have to have cats? I just bought an AT Flowmaster system and I thought I didn't need a catted H Pipe to be ok.
