the warranty thing... this is how i see it, how long does it take to swap out the new midpipe to put in the stock one of your that worried What the dealer dosent know dosent hurt them
oh great. i bought my car from ted britt. heh, they're the ones that told me two different things. one guy said i could even replace the headers, the other one said if i even touch the exhaust, they'll void it on me.
Now, the midpipe has to be catted (emissions). I had another question.
Does it have to be catted? I just bought an American Thunder Flowmaster system and I thought you could just get a regular H Pipe and be fine on emissions. Also, where can I find a good H pipe at a good price? I've been told BBK makes good affordable H pipes but what do you guys think? Thanks ya'll.

It has to be catted if you want to pass emissions. It also depends on where you live. In Cali if you change your midpipe at all you wont pass. If you get an O/R H-pipe meaning 0 cats you wont pass emissions, if you get a catted H-pipe then in most states you will pass emissions. MAC and BBK both make pretty good H-pipes.
Is that true about the mid pipe in Cali? Have you tried it and had that happen, or did someone tell you about that?
I've heard numerous people tell me that you cant change your mid-pipe at all in Cali or you will fail. Cant say from first hand experience that it is true, thats just what I have heard from numerous sources. I think it might also depend on where in Cali you live.
You have to prove that the old cats were bad... It's illegal to remove a functioning catalytic converter from the car, even to put new ones on there...
Wow! That sure is good to know...and sucks at the same time. I was just about to buy a mid-pipe, but decided to wait. Good Thing. I guess I have to look to other mods instead. Thanks for the info.
