Is there a specfic advantage to the SVT focus fuel pump or will any 255 fuel pump do the job. Where would be a good place to find the SVT focus fuel pump?
On atomic performance I found a Holley in tank 255 LPH fuel pump that runs a higher pressure and is rated for 650 hp instead of the SVT focus 450 max. Just wondering what your thoughts were on these.

Thanks
James

the svt focus pump is designed for use with returnless style fuel systems found on all 1999-2010 mustangs. they use a different voltage signal. alot of other 255lph pumps are only meant for return style systems, and may burn up the pumps or fpdm if used with returnless. the fuel pressure with a returnless system is controlled by the fpdm in the trunk, rather than using a fuel pressure regulator. it wont let you increase the fuel pressure like you can with return style

Oh, I didn't realize that the 96 (my car) to 98's had a return style fuel system. Thanks for the help. That saves me a stupid mistake/purchase.

I'm pretty interested in this, but the responses from 05+ GT guys are pretty dead. Anything special I need to know regarding fuel system specifics and whatnot?

for a standard 6-8psi setup the factory maf sensor should be ok, but youll need bigger injectors and possibly a gt500 fuel pump. Might not really know until it gets on the dyno. I would contact a good tuner nearby you and see what they recommend for an 05+

Just wanted to share a few pics of when I used to have the vortech running intercooled and 430whp/400wtq...

Heres a current pic with the Hellion turbo at 531whp/630wtq...

Hey beautiful write up. I'm actually in the process myself being a college student on a budget this is the only plausible solution. Anyways I found a V1 T-Trim for sale, I want to make sure this will work before shelling out that kind of $$. And any difference in boost between T-Trim & The S-Trim? Or should I expect around the same amount of power?

on the same size pulley a t trim will flow more cfm than the s trim, so it should make a little more boost. With a T trim you can use a larger pulley to get the same amount of power as an s trim and helps with belt slip. The s trim is normally fine for cars under 600hp and the t trim can make over 700hp

Frost I've gotten 1 more quick question. I've found this one on Ebay
(http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...CA:MOTORS:1123)
and the guy says its really an V1 S-trim and says he mislabeled it. However it says its curved discharge. This will not work?
