$1500 96-04GT Supercharger kit "how its done"

Since this went unanswered, you can run 8psi safely on your 97 cobra. Any more than that and your rods will say bye-bye and probably blow a hole in your block.
And you're not gonna find much for power with $500. Best thing to do would be gears. If you indeed want a supercharger, then get 3.73's awhile. If you say screw the blower and go n/a, get 4.30's. gears and install should be right around $500 or so and you'll feel that more than any $500 spent on just adding power unless you spray the thing.

Great thread
When you come across a thread like this ya just have to appreciate the world wide web It really is amazing how much money you can save if you do a little homework and put together a project yourself. I was not aware that you could save hundreds if you put together a mounting kit yourself. I am not savvy at all with forced induction but over the last several months I have been trying to donate some time so I can familiarize myself with the process. Thanks guys for all the knowledge.... and thanks Frostbitten... sick thread dude. You take paypal? I can send you a donation b/c ya saved me some dough ha

Of course the prices are not correct. They were posted almost 5 years ago! Still looks like a great way to go to save a little money. And you can buy it a little at a time instead of having to save up for so long and drop it all at once.

I always thought it would cost way more to get s/c. Since reading this thread I have picked up a V2 off craigs list. It came with mounting bracket and oil lines but that is it. I need to find the fittings for the oil lines. Also going to need the belt and tensioner because it came with just the mounting bracket its self. This thread has given me the confidence and info to piece together the s/c myself and I can't wait till I can buy the rest of the stuff and get it bolted in. Thanks to all who have contributed.
