Vortech
Ok, Im 17 years old and I love mustangs. I just recently purchased a black 1995 Mustang GT manual shift. I personaly dont know anything, or, not very much about cars. I am learning as I go though. The mustang I just bought is supercharged with a vortech s-trim 6-8 p.s.i. supercharger. Its a very fast car. But one thing I need to know about is the timing retard. He had it set conservativly he said on 2 and 2. Now, im not sure what that means but there is an MSD under the hood and there is a **** in the cabin. What is a good setting for it without detonating the engine? Like I said, I know very little about engines so be easy on me but I just want to know what the timing retard should be set on and why. Thanks alot in advance.
well 1* of timing per pound of boost is a good place to start. my budy has a 95 cobra with a vortech running 12psi. he has his msd btm box set to pull 1* of timing per pound of boost starting at 3psi. if you dont know anything about motors i would just leave that *** alone untill you know what your doing. you can easily destroy your motor
