Default Catback, help!

Ever since I got my car I had been dead set on getting a Magnaflow catback. But now I'm thinking I want to go a little louder.
SLP and the Magnapacks are going to be way too loud. So whats a good cat-back thats louder than the Magnaflows but not as loud as the packs? I've spent countless hours listening to exhaust files online, but its hard to judge just how loud they really are.

I know some of you may say Flowmaster, but I do not want Flowmaster or a Mac catback.
How do the Borla Stingers fit into this? If thats a good choice then who has the best price?

Personally I would love to get the packs, but I live in a Condo and I park under the building, so I have to think of my neighbors cause I leave early in the morning.
Thanks

first hand experience w/ the stingers, they are the shiznet. I really like em b/c they can be quiet if you want them to be, and are awesome at WOT if you want ppl to hear you. You don't sacrifice any tone w/ them, and it is a very bassy tone, i love it. Going off clips I would say they are not as loud as the packs, but louder than magnaflows and sound a little better than flowmasters. I have it matched with the MAC o/r PC. If you want the best price call Nino at ninosport, i hear the stingers are around $500 now, i bought them for $440 about a month ago[8D] You can hear my clip in the 4.6 section if you want a feel for them...

2004 GT RagTop, I saw your post and took a listen. I like the sound a lot, but I want to get an idea of how loud they are with the stock H. Does anyone know if they are significantly quieter than the pcaks or are they pretty close? I've listened to both, but its really hard to tell on the web.
$500 huh, well I'll get in contact with that guy and see what he says.

none taken

I don't think the stingers are really THAT loud, but i wasnt looking to get something unbearable or over the top. I wanted a deep exhaust that was pretty loud and had a nice tone. This was the combo that suited me.

^^^ hmm, well, if i had gotten to this post a bit before my friend here, i would have said the exact same thing[sm=exactly.gif]

nothing loud and unfiltered, just something low, bassy, intimidating, but not overbearing

SLP is WAY too loud. I'm looking for something a little less tame.
My main concern is cold starts, I don't want to wake up everyone in the building. You say you have Magnaflows and they are louder? Are you sure you don't mean Magnapacks? I don't want to get the Stingers if the MagnaFlows are louder.

nothing is ever way too loud.

i just ordered the loudmouth 2s. which'll make me sound even sexier. then Acer gets his loudmouths. you can already hear and feel me coming a mile away, this should be a great addition. muwahahaha!

i like custom exhausts. SLPs are brutally loud but if i put them on my car it would sound the same as the exhaust i have now. i have a custom h-x-pipe and dual outlet flowmaster race mufflers with quad dumps. i can barely hear myself think at WOT or starting the car but it has a nice tone while cruising the mall.
