This weekend I got magnaflow mufflers and flow tubes welded into my stock tail pipes. I have a friend with the full system and it seems to be a little less loud than mine. Could it be possible that I have an exhaust leak(dont know if they would make it louder or not) from where they were welded in or do you think its from my intake mods?

Yep, all he has done is magnaflow catback. My mods are in my sig.

 

it should stink for a few weeks since you got new muffs, but if it continues to smell bad, you probly have a leak. does it have any high pitched leaky sounds anywhere or is it just loud?

 

What would I high pitched leaky sound be like?

 

You would be able to hear a ticking... And there's no way Chris let you leave the shop w/ a leak bigger than a pin hole, if that. I'll listen to it sometime soon and let you know... I'm 100% so far... Stupid mac H-pipe/EB3

ive heard someone w/ a cracked header before and it was a loud clicking kind of like those baseball cards in bike spokes but high pitched, did he use the gaskets b/w the pipes? if it is welded, see if the welds are nice and stacked like coins.

 

Yeah header leaks sound like a metal hitting metal noise.

I dunno about a catback leak though, either way, most likely you dont have a leak in your catback, isnt too common. More header/header to mid pipe leaks are common.
