Default Few Questions regarding P1SC

hey im not every "educated" on the whole FI thing so i have a few questions...

1. my local shop has a USED P1SC head unit for sale for a 4.6L 2V, whats a good price to offer him since hes not sure?
2. what should i look for in a USED P1SC?
3. i looked at that
$1500 96-04GT Supercharger kit "how its done" post and i was wondering could i just do that exact thing except put a P1SC instead of a Vortech V-2 SQ head unit?
4. how much boost am i able to run on a stock bottom end w/ a CR of 10.5:1 ? the local shop says 8lbs..
5. whats the max boost a P1SC can make ? since i will be swapping my bottom end out so i can run higher boost.
6. how much power do you think i would make w/ 8psi P1SC w/ the following mods: PI Swap, Magnaflow Catted X, Flowmaster CB, Accufab 75mm TB/Plenum, JLT CAI, & Tune.

thanks alot for all your help [8D]

The kit is worth 3000 dollars if it's in good shape with the intercooler and all. With compression that high I would be carefull running 8 lbs of boost and wouldn't think of going any higher. The 1500 dollar kit you read about is possible because you can buy all the brackets and stuff separtate for a Vortec but not a procharger as far as I know. With compression that high I would imagine you'd put down 400 rwhp or very very close with 8 lbs of boost. The P-1 blower can turn up to about 16 lbs of boost with an 8 rib kit and very small pulley.

I'd say you can run 8lb fine as long as you don't add a whole lot of timing. You may even be able to run 10lb on even less timing but the power output would probably be similar.

On f/i cars timing is where the power is at, but with higher compression you can't add lots of boost and timing and still run pump gas..

I would say at 8psi you would make close to 400rwhp. My car made 395at 10lb with 21 degrees total timing.

There is a gu y on here with a blue pi swap making big power.. maybe someone else knows his sign in name.

I sold my P1SC recently to a local enthusiast for $2500 incl intercooler etc. He thenran a 12.2 on street tires and I think a 1.9 sixty foot, so he's definitely got him a solid11s mustang now with a little practice and some minor suspension mods. I sell all my stock parts at a verylow price. Girlfriend won't allow me to collect car parts. Sold stock tranny and already sold stock short block.Anybody need a stock rearend...lol? (last big part).

On his 2007 gt, the P1SC made 484 rwhp at 10lbs...don't know how that relates to a 2v though.

I don't think the CR will be an issue if you run 8 psi, you just need to watch the stock bottom end by getting it dyno tuned watching the A/F and keep the numbers to the rear wheels in the low 400's. The MagnaFlow Tru-X seems to produce more torque than other setups I have seen the P-1SC on. Depending on the health of everything involved and the setup, you would probably be looking at a 350-420 RWHP window. Unfortunately, there's too many variables involved to get you an exact number. My numbers are in my sig...

The ls1 motors come with 10.5 CR and procharger does not recommend going over 6 lbs of boost on pump gas with that much compression.
