Default New guy looking for advice

I justpurchased my 2002 V6 Stang about a month ago and just added Flowmaster 40s. Since my brother is the Shop Manager for Edelbrock Corp, I asked him for advicedbut he is upset because I didnt go for a GT (LOL!) and refuses togive me any info on tunning a Stang.

From past experience on import tunning, I know that chaning the exauhst, headers, intake manifold, camshaftand adding a cold air intake will improve hp gains. However I am unfamiliar with tunning a Mustang. Can anyone give me some advice as to what I need without breaking the bank. Also what is the HP/Torque potential on a 02 V6 Stang? Thanks guys! your help is greatly appreciated!

^^^good idea. The 3.8L engine you have is stout. You are somewhat limited since you have less displacement(w/o a full overhaul of course). You can get and SCT tuner or whatnot for tuning. As far is performance, I would also consider swapping in a 8.8" rearend instead of the one tire frier7.5" you have now. Spray or turbo would be the way to make serious numbers if you are looking for the monster sixer thing. You will have to get forged internals though too.

I would just go with the gears and the spray. It is really the best bang for your buck, but you may not want my opipion I am biased on a V8

TURBO boost is what make's life worth living. I love my twin turbo mustang I also have a 2g turbo eclipse and a 1g All wheel drive talon turbo. So I may be a little biased towards turbocharging

On a V6 simple mods as exhaust, intake, pulleys, and a cold air pipe will make perhaps 16 - 20 whp on dyno and will cost bunches.

Avoid spray as you must depend on a bottle.

Go turbo -- the mother of bolt-ons -- and really feel the power. You will be very happy with it.

Try to cut some weight where feasible. Honestly don't know where, but no 18's or huge sound system if your looking for speed. Driveshaft swap? flywheel? I personally would have gone with GT but since you have a sixer get all the speed you can. GL dude...........Glad to see you switched to the "dark side"...aka domestic.....one less annoying fartcan on the road hopefullu
