200 Shot of nitrous on stock 98 cobra?
long story short my buddy is racing some kid for 300 bucks tonight depending on this.
hes got a relatively stock 98 cobra with the following:
OR x pipe
flowmaster catback
electric waterpump
BBK cai
hes run a 150 shot before and had no problems. he wants to up to a 200 shot just for this race (with a couple test runs of course), will the stock fuel pump be able to handle this? will the car or is this really asking for it?

I think even running 150 shot on a stock cobra isnt the greatest idea. If it is the stock fuel pump, I dont think it will support anywhere NEAR a 200 shot. W/o a tune, you are/he is asking for a new longblock in the VERY near future.

well i couldnt even come up with any 200 jets for him so he was just gonna run a 150 (his car is nitrous tuned btw and hes run a 150 before several times at the track) but the kid backed down once he started messin with the jets and blowtorching his bottle (doesnt have a bottle heater lol)
sucks cuz i wanted to see it go down

no better way to create debris to:
1)clog a selonoid
2)score a cylinder wall
3)weaken the bottle
I have a friend who lost his 97cobra to a 150 shot with the approriate tuning---like the others said, its just a matter of time. Now its being built, running 39lb injectors on the street and sprayin a dual system 300 shot.
Should be fun.

He is lucky in my opinion. Stock cobras internals are on borrowed time
with a 150 shot.

The Cobra Rods are the best of the powdered metal 4.6L rods (Rated 7800 rpm).
All in the tune in my opinion.
