vortech aftercooler or intercooler
I usualy try to stay unbaised. But Vortech makes a superior product, on every model level. The procharges are good, the self contained units are not, but unfortunately that signautre procharger whine comes at a price, tech support sucks, and they eat belts like nobodys buisness, couple this with vortechs lower cost and higher power output model for model (and more realistic flow charts) - vortech gets my vote for sure.

Ever notice how the non A/C vortech kits make almost the same boost as the intercooled procharger kits? Efficiency vortech>procharger. Tapping the oil pan isn't a negative, I know I'de forget to change my supercharger oil, but my vortech gets fresh royal purple every 3000miles or less.
Anyway Air-to-Air is probably gonna be better for your every day driver, but if your car is your weekend play toy air-to-water gives you the ability to put ice in.

Personally I would have just bought a procharger and been done with it. My p1sc procharger came with an3 coreintercooler including all the piping with the kit. Any good supercharger kit should you would think. I am not a fan of vortech mainly for this reason, plus the tapping of the oil pan, I know I know its not a big deal trust me I know. Butstill if you can self contain it then why not. The oil stays cooler and iso form your dirty engine oil. I have a lot of personal experience with Procharger and their kit are second tonon!

also the procharger oil is kinda pricey.... 6 ounces for 13 dollars plus shipping? and you have to pay that every 6k miles. its just another added cost.
Turbo >Supercharger. Period
Technically what people call an intercooler is an aftercooler
The radiator used to cool the compressed air is an intercooler or aftercooler. The real difference is some engines have (used more in trucks or stationary engines like big generators) multiple compressors. So before you feed the once compressed air into the second compressor you cool the air. This is technically an intercooler (started life being called an interstage cooler) as it cools the charge in between compression stages. If the cooler is after all compression has taken place, it is called an aftercooler.
So technically all the common auto applications use an aftercooler. But no one calls them that, but incorrectly calls them intercoolers.
I just cut and pasted that from a website because I didnt feel like typing it up but thats how it is.

Aftercooler will yield you more HP than a air to air intercooler. Only draw back to aftercooler is the cost and you have to relocate your battery to the trunk. I would go with an air to air as it is more cost effiecient. I got my kit for a great price which is why I have aftercooler.

Aftercooler only yields more hp if you have it iced down.
