I don't know if vortech makes an intercooler, but what one would be better an aftercooler or intercooler?

it really depends both have advatnages and disadvantages... for a daily driver most folks will be plenty satisfied with an air to air intercooler, for hardcore drag racers being able to iced down is a big advantage... but those cars get heat soaked quick

just build your own intercooler setup, the paxton kit is really pricey and if you don't mind a little work, doing it yourself is great

Personally I would have just bought a procharger and been done with it. My p1sc procharger came with an3 coreintercooler including all the piping with the kit. Any good supercharger kit should you would think. I am not a fan of vortech mainly for this reason, plus the tapping of the oil pan, I know I know its not a big deal trust me I know. Butstill if you can self contain it then why not. The oil stays cooler and iso form your dirty engine oil. I have a lot of personal experience with Procharger and their kit are second tonon!

well since your a procharger fanatic, have you noticed the procharger kit is more expensive than the base vortech kit? also all turbos that i have seen get oil from the engine. how is the oil dirty if it is filtered? yes the oil gets dirty, but that is why you change your engine oil every 3k miles and run synthetic.

Ever notice how the non A/C vortech kits make almost the same boost as the intercooled procharger kits? Efficiency vortech>procharger. Tapping the oil pan isn't a negative, I know I'de forget to change my supercharger oil, but my vortech gets fresh royal purple every 3000miles or less.

Anyway Air-to-Air is probably gonna be better for your every day driver, but if your car is your weekend play toy air-to-water gives you the ability to put ice in.
