dumps
Hey guys, I had an '88 GT with gutted cats and homemade ~3" dumps, sounded great with the caps on, and roared with the caps off! I absolutely loved it, but now, I'm in a 4.6 2V ('98 GT), am I going to get a nice sound if I do the same thing? I got the MIL eliminators on the way, but I don't know if I want to gut the cats or buy an H pipe, and I don't know if dumps would sound good or not? I might purchase them this time, or make them different anyway, the other ones looked homemade!
BTW, it's got the factory mufflers on it currently, planning on some flows, not sure which ones though. Advice?

I don't want the car to roar constantly, I want a nice low rumble, not headache loud, but not stock quiet either. Thats why I like the dumps, on cruise nights, or at the track I can take them off and actually hear my car running next to big blocks with open headers. But my 5.0 lost low end with no back pressure when I took the caps off the dumps, but it gained top end. How will the 4.6 perform with dumps? And how will it sound? Anyone have dumps on their 4.6?
