Default RE: headers question

where is the link or pic ?

i like mac, no problems

the individual flanges make it harder to reinstall later if you take them off though.

heres my opinion....equal length shorties are the same hassle as long tubes, so thats how i go

the mac industrial coating will rust w/in a year, the chrome bbk will blue w/in a year or so

the cerama-coat is by far the best

the choice is yours...you'll have issues no matter what (unless you go cerama-coat)

my long tubes were clean as new when i got th ecar.....1 year later.....lots of surface rust. no big deal really, mostly on the collectors, and where the ac drains on them. top of the tubes still look good, the bottoms where they get gravel pickup is rusty though.

and since i just posted this up here ya go...all mac on a stock motor

yeah i wanted the unequal but brenspeed only has the equal for the 95 ...and i want to order from brenspeed because thats where im hoping to get them installed at because i live in indiana...how big of the problem is the rusting? is it going to cause me to have to get them replaced or not? if not then its not all that big of a deal to me...ive got 400 dollars but thats going to need to hopefully include install thats why i dont want to get ceramic because theres almost 300 of that gone right there...

you wouldn't have to replace any time soon, driving all year long they would last at least 5-7 years minimum and thats being pretty harsh

you shouldn't have leak issues w/ mac,bbk or anything else better than those.

use good header bolts, the locking ones if you can, you may have to tighten down for the next 3 days after installing them...that goes for header bolts to heads, and collector bolts to h-pipe. the vibration will help seat it sometimes, and seem ike they are loosening up, but really just allowing you to get tighter

usually people will charge you an arm and a leg to install parts. just do it yourself if price is a problem. i did my first set in my driveway in about 4 hours (my very first time).
