Default Gears Wear your engine????

Hey Guys made my mind up on the Exhaust System I kno you guys love magnaflow and SLP Magnaflow to Raspy for me and the Tips I like slash cut. SLP No one has Power Flo Sound clips or knows anything about the and I think Lm2's might be raspy from the sound clips ive heard. So ive decided to go with Bassani Catback just save a lil more money and a Bassani X Pipe how do you think it will sound?Well about the gears I have a 2001 Mustang GT and i am taking this car to College with me next summer and I need good Gas Mileage but I kno it will go down a little but not as much if i was to have 4:10's I want to go with the 3:73's would that give me a increase I could feel? And would it hurt my engine making the RPMS Rev Higher I drive it as a Daily Driver I dont want no wear on my Engine.I usually put the cruise control on and go down the high way not to much racing!!!! Rember this is a "Automatic Transmission"

your gas mileage only goes down when your foot goes down if you catch my drift. you'll notice a huge difference with 3.73 and even more of a difference with 4.10. oh, and LM2s are NOT raspy, neither are magnaflows. if you want bassani, more power to ya, i really don't think it's worth the extra money for it though.

Hahaha... LMII's and magnaflows are the furthest things away from raspy you could get.

any gear setting above stock is going to make the engine parts start to work faster...putting more stress on them.

gears are'nt going to wear the engine more than you getting a power adder would, what is going to wear quicker though is going to be the tranny, and i have heard from a few people that when you change the gearing on an auto it is recomended to get a chip to not only accomodate the speedo change but to also tighten up the shifts in the tranny.. i have 3.73's im my 5spd, made a huge difference, i wouldnt go with 4.10's if you do alot of highway driving especially with a 4spd auto the high rpms will make your head spin..but other wise if stay in the city go with 4.10's and a chip..

gears dont make you rev higher, they make your rev's go up quicker, for an auto definetly go 4:10

Huh???? Oh I get it....you mean rev as in more power....I think he means the engine will rev higher at a given speed....of course it will.
