most places won't mess w/ you, but technically every 5 years it needs to be done. the original manufactured date is the original hydro on it
if your place makes you hydrostatic test it make surethe dategets hammered into it.
i have never had to hydro a nitrous tank EVER , but if your totally empty, think about replacing the burst disk in the valve, they are made to pop to save the tank from exploding... when they get old, they are weaker. they are about $8 and a full jug of juice will cost you about $40 so it's cheap insurance.
