Default What kind of exhaust should I get?

Just got me a 2008 Mustang GT and was wondering what kind of exhaust I should get on the car? I like a nice mean sound. I like the stock exhaust sound just want it to be louder. Thanks for the input

Borla cat back system is mean. everyone who has heard me rev it says they love the sound and all my friends are car people so there not just saying it. and they dyno some of the most hp gains out of any company. if all you want is sound you can replace the mid pipes with just some after market mufflers

yeah the new mustangs kinda sound like crap... I think a higher raspier noted muffler is the best choice

I like the muffler deletes, but it's not for everyone.

I did the UPR x-pipe and Flowmaster American thunder mufflers. I am very pleased with the sound. The key to unlocking the sound is the x-pipe..

+1. The key to unlocking the sound is DEFINITELY in the x-pipe.

I have a 2003 Stage 2 Roush so I really don't know too much about the new mustangs.

Do they make a Borla Stinger cat-back for the 08 stangs?? If they do, go with that for sure!!!

I just got some slp loudmouths and they sound mean as hell definitely would recommend them to anyone who wants a loud aggressive exhaust. but they're quiet when you want them to be which is perfect.

There's only one real, mean exhaust setup for the S197. JBA longtubes, h-pipe and Pypes mid-mufflers.

[flame suit on]

I'm sure there's others that sound great too but that's my setup and I love it... just be prepared to layout around $1200 for everything installed.
