Has Anyone ever tried doing a side and rear exhaust setup?

 

I've seen a black 99/04 mustang down the road from where I live that has one set up like that. I think it looks stupid because the side pipes look like the ones used on the 69 70 71+ corvettes. They look like nerf bars.

 

Here's a guy who put a side exit exhaust on his stang. Looks bad *** when he's doing the burnouts and it blows smoke out the side.
