Replace what/when (4.6 2v)
I always read on here that at around 400whp is the most you could 'reliably' run on a stock block. Once you reach for more than 400whp its a good idea to replace the Rods/Pistons.
but what else after that?
when will a Focus SVT Pump and 42lb/hr injectors max out at?
When will the stock clutch give way?
How much can the rear end take with street tires?
stuff like that. What WHP do those need to be upgraded to say a Dual Pump setup or bigger injectors, or 31 spline axles.
Just wondering really. None of this will happen to me anytime soon. I do plan on the "$1500" Vortech setup in the Boost section sometime for the car. Just would prefer a house with a garage and nice array of tools first.

Well, I can tell you the SVT pump is good to 400 whp on average. For me it was less, for some it is more. The 42 lb. injectors are good to about 450 I believe. That is all I have experience in at this time. Some others will comment on the rest.
really its just best on a boosted car to skip the focus pump and go straight for the cobra dual pump setup if you have bigger plans for the future. You can find deals on them from guys on the boards. I got a brand new setup for $250. You can even still use the stock GT fuel tank but you just cant run the car if its past an 1/8th tank of gas because theres no baffling in the tank. But brand new from ford a new tank and pump setup is something like $1400. Theres plenty of people selling them on the boards though for waay less than that. Depending on your setup, the single focus pump may not be enough to get a full tune. You might end up needing to put a BAP on it and thats gonna be another $250. But if your just running 8psi vortech kit you should be ok with a single focus.

im currently haflway thru my build and ive run into some folks saying im going to run into fuel issues, im running a fully built procharged d1sc pullied for 12lbs, fully ported heads, cushman stage 2.5 blower cams and 60lb injectors, i currently have a single gt40 supercar fuel pump going into the tank, ive been told i need a boost a pump to supply sufficiant fuel to the motor...i was wondering if a BAP would do the trick or not...?? im wondering what ill be able to push with this setup until i can afford a return style later...anyone know???
