buying used headers and mid pipe
i want to buy used MAC headers and MAC prochamber midpipe from a guy off of craigslist. He says that he has New copper reusable gaskets but no bolts. This is what he said, "It does not come with the head bolts(they are still in the heads) but it does have all the other bolts. I do have a set of new reusable copper header gaskets. the header to prochamber does not take a gasket."
So i was wondering can i use the bolts from my stock headers or do i need to buy MAC bolts (where do i get them) or should i buy this off of summit. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
Suggestions?

yes and yes...and kind of no....lol
you can use the stock header bolts for the majority of the holes, but you don't want to. they suck monkey ball
you can use any generic header bolt that fits, i think they are 7/16" but don't quote me. but you have a few options... i'm assuming you have not yet removed the old headers? cuz your thread would be titled "after i busted all 10 knuckles and sifted through my blood can anyone tell me some better bolts to use ?"
anyways.. there are locking header bolts that use a flat sided washer... they won't ever loosen up but you might pay $30 for a set
you have some that are torx bit drive, allen drive, or just smaller heads so they don't get in the way of the bigger pipes.
whatever works for you, and seems easiest to install is the best thing to use.
mr gasket makes some good cheap ones that can be found just about anywhere.
