I run SLP LM II’s & SLP Catted X & have nothing but praise! Here’s why I’m such a big fan:
1. You can swap the Cats out on the (SLP) Catted X with race pipes for an off-road pipe.
2. If you decide to get SLP headers, the SLP Catted X is also compatible with them.
3. SLP LM II’s (or at least the ones that I got months back) can be easily transformed into LM I’s or Power-Flo’s by swapping the resonators/mufflers.

RE: Slp loudmouth I
I just installed SLP LMII's last weekend and am very pleased with them.
The better airflow reduced my 0-40 and 0-60 average times by 5%. Not huge, but definitely noticable.
The sound is great. Not much louder when cruising but when you stomp on it the growl is very nice. My GT now actually sounds like a muscle car.
All of the research I did before buying mine was that the LMI's may be a little on the loud side for some people.
I got mine from LMPerformance. It took a few weeks to get but their price was very good and I got quality parts. Easily installed in 3 hours by a 51 year old.
Good luck deciding.

RE: Slp loudmouth I
Scjar,
I have the original/stock H pipe. It sounds like if I want a little more growl I need to get an SLP Catted X-pipe.
The sound from the LMII's is very controllable with your right foot.
