after i installed my mac 1 3/8 long tube headers and off road hpipe, the car wouldnt run right like before. Before it woulda shift at around 5700 or so( i have an aod with a shift kit by the way) and now, when you floor is in either 1st or passing into second, once it hits around 4500 rpms, the tachometer goes freakin crazy and it soudns like it has a rev limiter.. please help.. and yes i did reset the ecu.

 

What all did you disconnect to get the headers in?

 

i removed the spark plugs, wires ( they are in the right order, i looked it up) transmisssion( i have access to a lift and i work at a tranny shop so its easy to pull im 17 btw =)) and that should be it.

 

Did you install MIL eliminators with the O/R pipe? If not then the engine will think its running really lean and dump furl causing you some problems.

 

nah all i did was extend my o2's. and the MIL eliminators are for the 96-up stangs i think. because i looke dit up and they only sold it for the 96-up
