What Supercharger for a Cobra 1998 would be the best? So far the most I seen installed on these 98 Cobras are Prochargers and Vortech Superchargers also. I can't seem to find much on Kenne Bell superchargers for these cars. Im also looking to get 450+ RWHP.


Also im going to get my engine built with forged rods and pistons. I was wondering if the stock crankshaft is good enought to hold such power? Or do I need to go forged also? I saw a Stroker kit that comes forged at 2,100 dlls.

Here's a link that might help. I am looking at the same superchargers that you are except I have an 01 Cobra, and from what I have gathered Kenne bell won't make the most power but it is the most FUN on the street, lots of torque, instant response. Procharger and Vortech make more power but only at top rpms and feels stock below 4k rpm. Also I believe the stock cobra crank is a forged piece, and 450hp is the max for stock short block. With forged pistons and rods you can go 600 to 700hp no problem. Hope this helps

cobra cranks are already forged. you just need rods and pistons.

i would forge before you do 450rwhp, the stock rods aren't very strong and your on the red line with that amount of power.
