Headers/X-Pipe Installation
For those of you that have had headers professionally installed, where did you go? Any recommendations? Midas? Mom & Pop muffler shops? How much did you pay? Did you get an X-pipe installed at the same time? What did that run you?

You can expect anywhere from $120-$500+ depending on who does it.
i'm getting my headers put on soon for 70/hour and it will probably take somewhere from 4 - 6 hours. if you get longtubes then you need a short midpipe and the midpipe wont fit with out the headers. i'd definetly take it to a shop it's way to much trouble to put on yourself unless you have all necessay tools and are very car smart.
I've read some install guides for headers and it doesn't seem all that difficult, just extremely time-consuming. Knowing me, I'd get distracted by some whatzit doo-hickie on the engine and it'd take even longer, then I'd put something on backwards or forget to tighten something....yeah, I think I'll be taking it to a shop. And silly me, I knew I had to get a new midpipe with the headers, I just didn't think before I typed.
I just found out I'm getting a little "bonus" to the tune of about 3k to 3.5k when I get home....headers, x-pipe, install, paint touch-up, new spoiler, bumper fill in....oh yeah!

It's a pain in the butt. I was quoted $650 for headers installation... but I'm going twin turbo in the long run and I can't use longtubes for that, so I'm just saying no to the whole headers thing.
