Put it on a dyno and get a custom tune! The chips you get with S/C and Turbo kits don't take into account a number of other mods a car could have or could be set to an old reference that goes out the window when the car maker changes some of the programming of the ECU.
I have a dyno-tuned chip...i'm pretty sure the problem is the MAF, i'm going ot put my stock one back on because right now the car is running fine with the MAF disconnected....funny how i had the car idling with the MAF unplugged and when i plugged it in the car just shut off.......sounds to me like i need a new MAF
right..you have a CHIP, not a flash tune. The chip you have is a 'plug-in' right? It's not the same as a flash tune that is custom for YOUR car not the car next to you that has the same S/C or intake or whatever. Every car is different. Either way, putting the stock MAF back in to see if that fixes the problem is a good way to troubleshoot that part. If the problem goes away, viola! Problem solved and you go buy a new high performance MAF, if not, then you know the Chip is to blame and I refer you back to my original recommendation.
