I have just installed JBA Longtube headers and a JBA O/R x pipe on my 06 GT. This with the Flowmaster 40 series mufflers that I already had make my Pony sound like a Redneck 4x4 with glasspacks during acceleration. It sounds magnificent at idle and low rpms. I find myself staying in these low rpms while driving because I hate the way it sounds now. What catback system would you guys suggest to get back to the muscle car sound that we all love? I don't care if it is loud as long as it sounds like a mustang throughout the whole Tach.

 

Magnaflow as all the catbacks will be WAY loud with LT's and no cats.

 

I don't so much mind the loudness but I want the rumble back.

 

FRPP Stingers or Bassani would change that.

Get the JBA mufflers and they sound great. I just saw the below post on e-bay and this is the best price I have seen.

I would look into Borla stingers. Just installed them on mine and they sound amazing. I think it would be great with what you're paring them with.

 

Thanks! Have you guys heard that the Ford Racing FR500 and Borla are the same? From what I'm hearing chambered is not the way to go. A straight through muffler will be loud but it won't have the tin can sound.
