My car has a bbk h pipe and is straight piped from there back. My car is very loud and has a very nice v8 sound to it. I've actually won a race because of how loud it was. Stupid ricer couldn't hear his own engine and kept hitting the rev limiter haha.

By the way, what the hell do you want your car so loud for? I'd rather hear a smooth clean V8 sound then hear something that sounds like a loud fart running down the road. Ahhhhhh....... what it was like to be a Junior in high school.
Because I'm an idiot..and the louder my car is, to me, the better..I want it as loud as possible..and haha you got it..I'm a junior in HS

And to clear it up..this would be my mid pipe.. I know have the O/R H..and I'm asking what it would be like if I had straight pipes as my mid pipe from the Longtubes into the SLP catback (resontors)..performance and sound wise (would there be much of a difference from the O/R H)

from what I hear the connector in the midpipe equalizes the pressure. I wouldn't do it. sound wouldn't be much louder if it was at all.

Thanks sk8rdude..thats what I was thinking..it wouldn't be equalized anymore..and the sound really couldn't be that different..

I asked because I was with some of my cousin's friends last night and they asked me about my exhaust and I told them and they suggested straight pipes..so I wanted to know if there would be any difference..thanks

When they suggested straight pipes, you sure he meant not to get rid of your catback?

i have straight pipes on my car and it sounds fine, it is stupid loud when i am racing but normal driving it is not that bad.
Straight pipes on a V6 mustang..........i don't know why anyone would do that, i can imagine how crappy it sounds, anything under a v8 with straight pipes usually sounds really horrible.

most of you GT guys have one track minds don't you. we had a meet here in ga, only 4 people showed, and everyone seemed to like it. and considering the fact that you drive a car that mine would eat alive, well let's just leave it at that

and how much have you spent on your car so far including the price when you bought it? Mine cost 3,700 dollars.

i bought it in jan. of 04 with 10,000 miles for $10,000 with extended warranty. i have spent around $1400 in parts and none in labor except gear installs. i have free brakes for life, free oil changes for five years, free tire rotation and balancing for 5 years, and the warranty can't be voided unless i add a S/C. i have that in the contract, so i can turbo it and still have the warranty
