Default Straight Pipes

Ok guys, this might sound pretty noob-ish..but right now I have the BBK Longtubes, O/R H, and SLP Loudmouth..if I were to get straight pipes, would there be any sound or performance difference? I know performance would be minimum cause H is close to straight..but what about sound? Thanks.

It will be REALLY loud!!!! I run straight pipes on my car and inside the car it isn't too bad, but if you are behind me when I hit it it will be heard over almost any stereo system. I wouldn't recommend it if it is your daily driver.

Haha..well it is my Daily Driver.. and I'm a junior in HS...but my oppinion is, the louder it is, the better it is..

What's the rest of your exhaust set up with teh straight pipes? do you have teh straight pieps as your cat back or as your mid pipe? It'd be my mid pipe.

I have a DIY turbo kit with a 3 inch downpipe splitting into the stock style 2.5 inch tailpipes. No cats and no mufflers and it is still loud. When I ran it without the turbo kit it was uncatted and unmuffled through tailpipes, that WAS REALLY LOUD.

What are you thinking of 'straight pipes' as? Like an exhaust system with no cats, no mufflers? Kinda seems like it might be that your thinkin of having jus 2 straight pipes off each header running back to your catback instead of having a H pipe.

By the way, what the hell do you want your car so loud for? I'd rather hear a smooth clean V8 sound then hear something that sounds like a loud fart running down the road. Ahhhhhh....... what it was like to be a Junior in high school.
