Looking to get my 96 gt louder I will be doing a full system eventually but right now I'm looking for cheap. What I'm thinking is doing a muffler delete or some cheap $20 cherry bomb glass packs. What do you think would sound better. I was also thinking cherry bombs and cat delet but I don't want to be running rich and can't do a tune just yet. I can weld and looking for the best sound for the cheap thanks for he help

 

Any one ever used jegs brand chamberd mufflers I think I will go with a set of mufflers and dump them before the axle not sure how fond I am of the exhaust tips just hanging of the back of the car. My other thought is to do a muffler delete and do strait pipe either dumping before the axle or out the side just to see how it sounds. From the look of it is the stock piping just after the cat 2.5"

 

SLP loudmouths are not to bad.

 

I had some VX muffler $30 same as jegs or summit mufflers. There 2 chamber mufflers. They would sound a lot better on your car because it would be mid mounted. I didn't like how they sound, Sound like tin cans IMO. I now have pypes m80's which sounds so much better. The m80's are only $44 if you don't buy the entire catback system.

Thrust Cherry bombs are cheap and sound pretty good on a budget. Had some on my 2000 Dakota V8
