Default exaust

Hey everyone I have finally decided my next mod will be exaust there is a flowmaster catback I was looking at for 379 $ but right where I work there is a guy who does custom exausts. my question is should I get the catback or would it be worth it to spend a couple hundred more and get a full exaust all the way to my headers. I only really am willing to spend about 500 total. Would it be more of a performance gain to go all the way to the headers for the price or no?

from the headers back would be good, but the stock headers on these cars are junk and really very restrictive. I think the primaries on the stock headers are 1" tubes , Id look around on craigs list and see if you can find a decent set of aftermarket headers for 100 bucks or so , the primaries on after market are generally 1 5/8" You can also get a halfway decent set of shorties with 1 5/8" primaries on ebay ... just make sure they have the 02 bungs when you buy them as well as the egr bung if your car still has egr on it.

The 1 5/8" tubes allow the engine to breath much better and are far less restrictive.

exhaust is the most important one for the racing cars like Mustang one. As the car picks up its speed, the burnt hydrocarbons should be spell out of the car. Its necessary for the car to make its performance better and steady.

Get a kit so you can take it off at a later date if you decide to change. Otherwise, if you cut pipes and get a custom install, they have you for life.
