Back in the day they were just called 2 chamber and 3 chamber. I think that's what these are, right?
The 2 chamber are definitely louder, but I always like the sound of a big block Chevy through 3 chamber Flows. Sounded deep and mean.
I had 2 chamber on my '89, that's probably what I'll go with on my '87 too. It's probably the typical fox with Flows sound you've heard a million times.
Sorry, that's probably not much help, LOL!

I had 2 chamber on an 88 I had years ago and loved how it sounded...the reason I ask is because I picked up a flowmaster cat back off Craigslist and they are 50 series(3 chamber) I currently have bassani on my car now but I don't want it to be quieter than what it is. I have always loved the sound if flowmasters in a fox body but have never heard the 3 chambers on one.

I only paid 50 bucks for the cat back with lx stainless tailpipes....I mainly wanted it for the tailpipes cause I'm gonna put a cobra rear bumper on. Still not sure about putting the flowmasters on though...don't wanna go quieter lol
