I have a 2006 4.0 v6... I've been researching S/C, and have only found Vortech, and Procharger models for 05-06 v6's... any other options? What about a turbo setup? I'm not really interested in nitrous; would rather start a S/C or turbo fund for this spring/summer.

I'm not looking to break any land speed records, would just like to be able to keep up with the GT's.

 

well nitrous is the best bang for the buck and it'll work on your 05 v6. you don't want nitrous though. just get the vortech or pro charger. those are 2 of the best centrifugal blowers you can buy anyway. you can't beat their price, performance and reliability. if you have the time and money, you can fabricate your own turbo kit for your car. don't expect to have it done in a weekend like a supercharger though.

 

If I brought the car to the track, then I would consider nitrous... and since I don't have any experience with turbo kits - it looks like a S/C is my best bet.

 

S/C will probally be best for you. Nitrous is only good for the track or when your racing for $$ IMO.

 

That all depends on what nitrous set up you have. From my understanding, there is a nitrous kit that will only give you a shot at WOT. Basicially automatic. All you have to do is open the bottle, hit the switch and go. When your at WOT then you get the shot. This is known to be the safest way to have a nitrous hookup to your car today.
