Bassani vs. Borla
ORIGINAL: seight311
My Friend has the borla side exhaust kit on his and it sounds mean and looks great. I have never heard Bassani in person, however Mustang guys that put my gears in for me highly recommended me to never purchase Bassani. They have put almost 10 bassani systems on Mustangs and they didn't like the sound of any of them. They said they were cackly at times and didn't have that sound that a Mustang should have. They aren't an unreliable source either like I said they do tons of Mustang work. Anyone in the eastern iowa, western illinois needs anything done, good and cheap good guys to call.

Funny, the shop I go to always says go with bassani and borla as a second choice if you want something a little quiter. Just different tastes I guess.
stingers to the bassani exaust is no contest in volume in borla's favor, while tone is preference
i'll speak about borla stingers, cause i dont have bassanni
Very loud, unbelievable tone, very aggressive in high rpms..
everyone who dislikes borla seems to do so because they are too 'refined' however paired with the o/r H on my car, it is not refined under wot at all.. its a loud sound that can be heard echoing off anything around, including houses, builidngs, and trees along the road.

XR-1 mufflers i believe are the stinger mufflers,, get them welded into a nice pipe job and it shoudl sound similar
(assuming i was correct about the XR-1)

Ok, since stingers aren't a choice anymore, what else would you all recommend? I'm open to whatever brand at this point. Oh, another question, should I wait until I can afford headers too so I can get it all done at once?

Here is a video of my roommates 2002 Saleen with LT headers, BBK midpipe and Bassani Catback. It doesnt have a blower in this video though... just an NA Saleen with a brand new engine...
Beat this sound, bitches!!!

i thought it sounded pretty good,
nothing to kill for, but still very nice
i guess i need to hear a 2v mustang go by with every different catback on it to get a better feel for everything
