Default newbie to wheels/tires

i want to get some rims and tires for my 06 GT. i definately want to go wider in the back. what is the widest we can go and what is a good site to buy wheels from. i found the style i liked but not sure if they meet my specifications.

Well if you go to tirerack, and look up wheels for the 05-07 MGTs you will see some listings for 10.5 rears(rim width). I imagine it comes down to the offset as to how wide you can go. I plan on goin with 10 wide rears next spring(either 19x10 or 20x10s).....

Sadly it seems the wider the tire you want to go, the larger the wheel will have to be... (IE 18-20" Wheels) and there aren't many people making 17x10 (Or any at all for that matter.). So 18x10 is probably going to be my choice. Most likely 285 in the rear, with 255 in the front on an 18x9.
