Default 04 struts vs 05/06

Is the 04 strut the same with the exception of the sway bar mount bracket? I don't run my front sway bar so if the 04 is the same otherwise I could install an 04 set on my 06.

I don't know if they are the same or not, but do you really want to use them? I'm thinking the dampening rates would be wrong for our cars. I don't think anything will cross over from the fox body to the S197 suspension-wise. At least not without some modification.

I was thinking about the aluminum QA1's with adjustable rates for my 06. They are available for 04 and oldler Mustangs but don't list any for 05 up. You can even by different springs with different rates.

Tokico D specs are the most popular out right now for the S197s. They are adjustable and everyone who uses them actually reports improvement in ride quality along with improved dampening rates. I have a set and I'm just waiting for the rest of my suspension parts before I put everything in. But I think I've seen QA1s for the S197. Check with JPC racing

I'm sure the Tokico are good shocks but I was wanting to lose a little weight at the same time with the aluminum QA1's. That's a little icing on the cake. The Tokico I believe are steel. I will give JPC a check though. Thanks...
